Definitely a pay to win. Just in the storyline alone, you get to the second level and run into enemies that heal and give their minions strength after every turn, and also have special strength/healing totems, while you're still stuck with basic characters. You can grind it out but seems like you'd be waiting weeks to beat level 2. Never let an apps star rating fool you. That's probably people who thought the game was fun but never updated their ratings after uninstalling.
Almost fun, but not quite there. The pictures and adds for this do not represent the game play at all, it's a trading card game type. The beginning is good, but very quickly you get to a point where it's either pay "mighty" amounts of money, or only play for about 30 minutes a day because there's nothing you can do to progress. Getting stronger to progress in the game means either getting EXTREMELY lucky, or again, paying irl money. And the number of ads in game are staggering. Cash grab!
This game is a waste of energy and time... i personally hate it after few weeks of playing.... at first everything was OK... low level , the game was playable.... after a period I started seeing how the developers turn the game against you. The opponents are stronger than you 90% of the time. And if u make the mistake of buying something from the shop with real money ... you will be doomed to loose 95% of times.... So my review on this game will be : STAY AWAY COZ IT IS NOT WORTH IT... - 5 STARS
Awsome game. It's nothing like the ads though. Its a mix between an RPG and chess. It takes a minuet to learn which pawn has what attack value vs defense value and special moves. Although it shows it very clearly on the characters and you can click on characters mid game to remind you of their special features. I love it because it keeps you on your toes I dont like paying money for games. This one I dropped 20$ on about a month or so ago. If you spend the gems wisely it lasts a while.
